How we know aasd.instructure.com is theirs
Its sign-in page publishes Appleton Area School District, which is how we know it is Appleton Area School District’s and not a similarly named school’s. The finder once handed Boston Public Schools students Boston College’s login, which is why a name has to be read rather than inferred. Read from the portal on 22 October 2026.
Signing in
You sign in on your school's own Canvas page, the same page and the same password you already use. DuePilot never asks for a Canvas password and never asks you to generate an API token.
Opening that address sends you to canvas.aasd.k12.wi.us, which is on Appleton Area School District’s own domain. That is worth knowing twice over: it is the page you should expect to type a password into, and it is a second, independent reason to believe this portal is Appleton Area School District’s.
On the Connect screen, search Appleton Area School District. aasd.instructure.com is already known, so there is no address to look up and nothing to paste.
What DuePilot reads from Appleton Area School District’s Canvas
Your Canvas calendar, your assignment list and your course names. Where your school still issues API tokens, your weighted grade standing too, and what you need on what is left.
Your due dates are in Central time
This portal is configured America/Chicago. An assignment Appleton Area School District set for 11:59pm is 11:59pm Central time, and DuePilot shows it that way wherever you open the app. A deadline quietly shifted by three hours costs a grade, so this is read from the portal rather than assumed from the address.
