Delete your account
DuePilot · last updated 24 October 2026
There are two ways, and the first one is faster. Nothing on this page asks you to email us for permission: deleting your account is a button inside the app and it happens immediately.
If you still have DuePilot installed
Open the You tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account. On the computer app it is Settings, then your email address, then Delete account.
It asks twice, then it happens straight away. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
If you no longer have the app
Email [email protected] from the email address the account uses, with the words delete my account. We use the address you send from to find the account, which is why it has to be that one.
We delete it within 30 days and almost always within a few days, and reply to the same address to say it is done. If you cannot send from that address any more, email us anyway and say so.
What gets deleted
All of this goes, at once, and none of it is recoverable:
- Your account itself: email address, password, first name, school, year and your friend code.
- Your school sign-in. DuePilot stores the session your school's own sign-in page created, encrypted, so it can check for new work. It never stores your school password, because it never receives one.
- Everything fetched for you: assignments, due dates, course lists and the grade entries your school's portal exposed.
- Any week published from a computer, and any calendar you imported.
- Every practice set and note you made in the app.
- Your 0 to 100 score in each class, your rank history, your friend list, and your place in other people's friend lists.
- Your notification registration, and the usage records tied to your account.
What is not deleted, and why
- Anything on your own computer. If you used the computer app, your grades and
notes live in a plain database file in your own user folder and were never uploaded.
Deleting the account cannot reach them. Uninstall from Windows Settings and delete
the
DuePilotfolder in your AppData directory to clear those. - The fact that your school runs a particular portal. When a student signs in, DuePilot remembers that the school uses, for example, Canvas at that address, so the next student at that school gets an instant answer. That record is a school name and a web address with no user id, no session and no email in it. It is not about you and it is not personal information, so it stays.
- Payment records held by our payment processor. If you ever subscribed, Stripe keeps its own record of the transaction because it is legally required to. Your subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion, before the account row goes, so nothing can be charged afterwards.
Deleting some of it instead
If the problem is that your week has somebody else's homework in it, which happens when an account has been signed into on two people's computers or connected to two schools, you do not need to delete the account. Open the You tab and look at Where your week comes from: every source is listed with a Remove of its own, and removing one leaves the others, your friends, your rank and everything you have made in Practice alone.
